AlphaStim FAQ
This is a page covering most of the questions people commonly `phone me and ask:
1. "I've been diagnosed with anxiety/depression/stress - will an Alphastim cure my depression/anxiety/stress?"
I am not able to advise on the treatment of any specific condition or case with regards to this product. There are several reasons for this. Firstly, as I am not a doctor or psychiatrist, it is both illegal and unethical for me to do so. I supply the product and provide as much of the research as I can and leave it to the potential buyer to decide if it is the product for them.
In all cases, I suggest that the purchaser discuss the issues with their General Practitioner or psychiatrist in the first instance. You might be wise to take some of the literature from the website with you.
2. "Can I get a refund if the product does not work for me?"
Regrettably no. I guarantee the product only against any manufacturing fault and all purchasers must be aware that results will vary.
Again, in three years of selling, I have received only two negative reports. One from from an individual who used the product to treat a complex series of problems including depression, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia. This person reported an increase in their "dissociative symptoms." The other was from an anxiety sufferer who reported after one week of use that they gained no benefit. I do receive an overwhelming number of positive reports from satisfied customers.
Here's a useful guideline: The alphastim is most excellent at alleviating the physical symptoms of anxiety, stress and depression, but as a physiological treatment it does not address the inherent psychological patterns that accompany these conditions.
3. "Can I try the Alphastim before I buy one?"
Most probably. I have two units that I loan out free of charge (in the UK only) to clients/customers for a maximum of 2 weeks only. I mail this out and appreciate prompt return within the 2 week period. Most of the time, there is a bit of a waiting list of people waiting to borrow the Alphastims. Luckily, so far everyone has been prompt in returning the machines. If you wish to borrow one please feel free to contact me and we can arrange this.
There is no obligation to purchase the product upon return and I always appreciate feedback of your experience.
Important note: If you borrow the alphastim, you MUST NOT use it on another person without discussing this with me first. THERAPISTS MUST NOT use a borrowed machine on their clients whatsoever. In all cases it remains my property and any therapist experimenting on a client with one of my lent machines should expect to answer to me in person. You have been warned!
4. "Do you use the product yourself?"
Absolutely. In fact, I started retailing the product after I bought a second hand unit of Ebay and found it very helpful during a particularly stressful period of my life (relationship breakup). People often express surprise and ask, "but as a therapist, shouldn't you not need one?"
The answer is simple. The device is great for relaxation and clearing the mind and there are many ways to climb a mountain. I experience stress, much like anyone else, and have found the Alpha-Stim invaluable in maintaining a clear state of mind and remaining focused through the normal course of stressful events in life.
5. "Do you stock the Alpha Stim or do you act as an agent?"
I stock the item and dispatch usually within 3 days of the order being placed. I attempt to achieve delivery to the customer within 10 days of payment, and guarantee delivery within 28 days. It is only when I am either training overseas or on holiday that delivery is delayed beyond the 10 days.
6. "Can I come and collect the AlphaStim in person?"
Yes. You can collect from my home in Chichester, West Sussex (the business address is in Lee-On-Solent, Hampshire) by prior arrangement only. This is easy enough to arrange - just email me or telephone me. Mondays and Tuesdays daytime (9-6pm) is never possible, but the rest of the week is easy enough.
